  • ENVOY

ENVOY TM Powerful Communications Hub Communications hub The ENVOY™ RTU provides the asset owners and operators with a powerful, flexible, data processing and communications hub. Connected equipment is polled for data, data is transformed and stored as called for by the application and then forwarded to central systems for use. As a communications hub ENVOY allows engineers to tunnel through to remote equipment to perform diagnostic checks and updates. ENVOY allows engineers to deploy solutions quickly without having to build large and complex SCADA and IT systems to collect and process data. DSO-ready solution Nortech iHost™ and ENVOY products are used to provide advanced monitoring and control in substation environments. ENVOY products are interfaced with high precision transducers, including: Voltage Control (AVC) Relays for Advanced Voltage Control Schemes RMS AC Measurement Sensors for Precision Substation Metering PQ Analysers for Power Quality & Harmonics Monitoring Wind Turbine and Power Park Monitoring Nortech offers tailored ENVOY solutions to deliver critical services for Distribution System Operators. Powerful integrated platform Built around a powerful ARM processor running the Linux® operating system ENVOY platform provides a base on which to develop and deploy unlimited monitoring and control applications. ENVOY is equipped with digital inputs, analogue inputs, control outputs, ethernet, serial and usb connections and supports DNP3, Modbus and CAN bus protocols. Standard ENVOY platform features include over-the-air updates, remote access and management from iHost™. Now just add applications to suit your network requirements. Get in Touch Contact Us

  • Overhead Line FPIs

Overhead Line FPIs Fault Passage Indicators for Overhead Line Networks Intelligent fault detection Smart Navigator 2.0 fault passage indicator (FPI) provides directional overcurrent and earth fault indication, conductor temperature monitoring and directional power flow detection, within a 1kg self-powered overhead line sensor. Overhead FPIs are supplied as a set of 3 units with low power radio links between the units. The central unit includes built in 4G/2G communications providing RTU functionality and a native DNP3 link to the control room. The innovative clamping mechanism enables field teams to install FPIs on live overhead lines up to 12 meters high using a hot stick, eliminating any interruption to customer supply. Monitoring for network analysis Smart Navigator 2.0 delivers directional power flow detection, without the need for a grounded voltage reference, enabling the operator to deploy at scale for full visibility of directional power flows through the smart network. Conductor surface temperature sensing enables deployment of real-time ratings to overhead lines at scale, providing visibility of true thermal capacity and assisting the operator in the informed release of constraints on connected generation. Smart Navigator 2.0 offers distribution state estimation and real-time conductor temperature-based post-fault ratings through our powerful iHost™ platform. Deployment options Smart Navigator 2.0 products are available for the full range of HV distribution voltages: Smart Navigator 2.0 - Intelligent fault detection for 11kV and 33kV overhead networks Smart Navigator 2.0 HV - Online monitoring for 66kV and 132kV overhead networks Smart Navigator 2.0 LC - Fault detection for rural overhead networks with low load current Remote maintenance such as software updates or configuration adjustments can be performed via the GSM / LTE connection. • Underground Cable FPIs

Underground Cable FPIs Fault Passage Indicators for Underground Cable Systems Cable fault detection Our FPIs for underground HV cable networks provide versatile, fully configurable, overcurrent and earth fault detection. We offer options for both communicating and local earth fault indication. Visibility of fault passage enables the control room to identify the faulty section of network and coordinate local switching to isolate the fault and restore supplies to customers more quickly. FPIs are offered with range of power supply options to suit your application. Our battery powered FPIs provide up to 15 years of maintenance-free operation, or for more data-intense applications, power can be sourced from the substations auxiliary AC or DC supply. Control room visibility Our NX-series of devices offers built-in RTU functionality and 4G communications (with 2G failover). The NX-series can deliver a native DNP3 link direct to the control room as well as over-the-air firmware updates and configuration management from iHost™. With options for directional (using available voltage input terminals on the switchgear) or non-directional fault passage indication, load current monitoring, power flow detection, twin earth fault indication, USB and Bluetooth local communications, and much more, the NX-series is a key component of your network monitoring system. Local fault indication Our F-series devices offer core fault passage functionality and is the FPI of choice for many utilities. Designed to be installed at switching points on the distribution network, local indication is provided via hyper-bright LEDs. The devices can also be connected to a local distribution automation RTU via the output contact, to alert the control room to fault events on the network. Our F-series products are compatible with 1A secondary CTs as well as our flexible retrofit CT solutions. They can be offered as a directional FPI, subject to suitable voltage input terminals on the switchgear. Get in Touch Contact Us

  • Micro RTUs

Micro RTUs Versatile micro RTUs for remote site monitoring Nexus micro RTUs The Nexus family of micro RTUs provide the asset operator with economical, reliable, remote site monitoring for a wide range of applications out in the real world. Offering a versatile mix of inputs, power supply options, local communications and 4G/2G remote communications they can be used to monitor alarms and data from almost any equipment in any location. Used in conjunction with iHost™, Nexus micro RTUs give reliable, accurate, real-time reports on the operating state of remote equipment. Flexible monitoring solutions Our NX12 micro RTU offers binary inputs, analogue inputs and output control channels. The NX12 includes options for I/O expansion, AC or DC power supply as well as back-up battery. Our NX22 micro RTU provides remote monitoring at locations where there is no auxiliary power available.
